4. There is one religion; The religion of  KNOW THYSELF. A modern
viewpoint  of   spirituality and  what  it  may mean  from  a self  psychology
perspective. Author: Dr. Roya R Rad. Price:14.67

This book attempts to answer those seemingly ordinary questions of life with deep
factual/practical answers. How do I get to my core being? Who am I? What do I do with my
religion, culture, environment, family, gender, childhood etc, and how should I interact with these
aspects of my identity? What if what worked before does not work anymore?  Do I need to learn
about all elements of my identity, and if so, why? How do I put a meaning to my life? What do I
do with my emotional baggage? Others say I have it all, so why do I feel empty, sometimes? Why
do I feel an emotional pain and can’t cure it? I have so many people around me, so why do I feel
lonely sometimes?

In this book there is a case example of an individual who learned about her culture, religion, and
family background to ease her self-growth process. An individual who used her immigration
experience as a blessing, considering herself privileged to have had experienced living in two
seemingly different countries in her lifetime, she moved from East to West. She came to learn that
this experience had expanded her mind and thought in ways that would not have been possible if
she had not immigrated. She also learned ways to learn and acknowledge the aspects of her life
that she had escaped from and found the experience fulfilling and uplifting. At  the end, finding
one’s self,  we can learn to move above and beyond any conditioning and become selfless. This is
where we become a master of our own existence and are granted full access to our free will. But it
takes effort, discipline and determination to get there and until we learn our identity and give our
life a structure, getting there may not be feasible. We all have to support each other's journey and
respect the elements of each other's identity.  There is a reason for this variety on earth, it is to
learn from each other not to judge each other. Judgement is rooted in fear and ignorance.

In 500 BC, an
anonymous
Chinese poet wrote:

If you are thinking a

seed. If you are
thinking ten years
ahead, plant a tree. If
you are thinking one
hundred years ahead,
educate the people.
By sowing a seed
once, you will harvest
once. By planting a
tree, you will harvest
tenfold. By educating
the people, you will
harvest one
hundredfold.

you feed him for a

fish and you feed him
